The 2024 RCASENC Board of Directors Application has launched! The deadline for the application is 5 PM on Friday, August 9, 2024. There are five open positions, as explained below:

• 2025 President-Elect (Only REALTOR® members in good standing that have served as a Director for at least one year prior to Installation may apply and must be willing to serve a three-year term: one year as President-Elect, one year as President and one year as Past President)
• 2025 Treasurer (All RCASENC members in good standing that have served as a Director for at least one prior to Installation may apply)
• Two-Year Director (Open to all RCASENC members in good standing able to serve a two-year term) – THREE POSITIONS OPEN

The REALTORS® Commercial Alliance Southeastern North Carolina (RCASENC) is governed by the RCASENC Board of Directors – RCASENC Members who volunteer their time, talents, and expertise to the growth and development of the organization and its members. The Board works in service to the general membership and is responsible for the organizational oversight, committee operations, and strategic direction of RCASENC, including member programs, products, and services. These commercial real estate professionals work in conjunction with Cape Fear REALTORS® (CFR) team of association professionals to carry out the mission to “OFFER THE TOOLS TO RAISE THE PROFESSIONALISM, PUBLIC PERCEPTION, AND PROFITABILITY OF COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE PRACTITIONERS.”

REALTORS® Commercial Alliance Southeastern North Carolina (RCASENC) is accepting applications for consideration for the RCASENC Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is comprised of the four (4) Officers (President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and Past President) six (6) Directors, one RCASENC representative on the NC REALTORS® Commercial Committee, and the President of Cape Fear REALTORS®.

Directors shall be elected to two-year staggered terms from January to December.  No more than three (3) REALTORS® from the same firm may serve on the Board of Directors during the same calendar year (“firm” is defined as an entity whose owners are the same or substantially the same).

To be eligible to serve as an Officer, a Member must have served as a Director for at least one year prior to their installation. Only REALTOR® members are eligible to hold President and President-Elect positions and must be members of Cape Fear REALTORS® to hold their respective RCASENC seats on the CFR Board of Directors.

Applications must be submitted by 5 PM on Friday, August 9, 2024. The Recruiting and Certifying Committee will collect the nominations and, where necessary or appropriate, conduct follow-up with the candidates prior to going before a vote of the full membership. The RCASENC 2025 slate of Directors will be announced at the 2024 CFR and RCA Annual Meeting.

As part of the nominating process, you are encouraged to discuss your interest in board service with any current or former member of the RCASENC Board of Directors. All RCASENC Members may nominate themselves or other Members for open positions on the Board. Self-nominations are viewed positively and indicative of someone who truly wants to serve. An individual may be nominated for more than one position (President-Elect, Treasurer or Director). Members making nominations do not have to verify the willingness of an individual to serve; that will be done by the Recruiting and Certifying Committee Members. The 2024 Recruiting and Certifying Committee are not eligible to be nominated.

YOUR COMMITMENT TO SERVE THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MEMBERSHIP OF RCASENC IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT – Attendance is required at the monthly meetings of the Board of Directors, and is highly encouraged at RCASENC professional, service, and social functions throughout the year.  Involvement in one or more Committees of RCASENC is welcome. IN RETURN – you can expand your strategic planning and thinking skills, gain increased visibility in the commercial real estate community, expand your personal and professional connections, and lend your experience and expertise to influence the strategic direction of RCASENC.
