Virginia Sourlis, ESQ., MBA, RSPS, ePRO®, has been in real estate since 1996. She is a commercial & residential real estate broker; licensed in NC and NJ.
A gifted athlete, Virginia received over 200 basketball scholarship offers. She chose Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA where she received a full basketball scholarship and All-American accolades. She was also invited to the 1982 Olympic basketball trials and studied in Oxford, England.
Afterwards, she attended Villanova University were she earned her joint JD/MBA degree and thereafter, founded and owned The Sourlis Law Firm, a boutique corporate and securities law firm.
Virginia’s abilities as a strategic negotiator fit well in the real estate world where she utilizes these skills to the best advantage of her clients. Always searching for alternative ways to proceed if necessary, Virginia is known as a “deal maker” and a “creative mind.” She quickly spots relevant issues, assist clients with a strategy which will allow them to close on their chosen property.
A person of “contagious enthusiasm” is the best way to describe Virginia. She is upbeat and positive, easily getting people excited about endeavors before them. This is evident in her efforts as a volunteer business mentor with SCORE, UNCW, CIE, and WILMA. Obviously, she enjoys giving back to the Wilmington community.
On a more personal side, Virginia enjoys walking the areas clear-water beaches, historic Wilmington Riverwalk, shopping the eclectic shops, the variety of parks and enjoying the fun and new restaurants. Her other enjoyments are Wilmington’s warm winters, Bible studies, low real estate taxes, and the southern pace and hospitality.
Like many transplants, Virginia finds Wilmington to be a very artsy town with live theatre and art shows as well as a place for fledgling entrepreneurs and investors. Other gifts to residents are the great fishing, boating, sailing, beach combing and the proximity to the mountains for those needing a change of scenery.
Virginia has earned Intracoastal Realty’s exclusive Institute Graduate Certification, which is awarded to associates who have furthered their professional real estate education through a comprehensive program of specialized, in-house coursework. The Intracoastal Realty Institute Graduate Certification curriculum includes specialist certification in technology, finance, new home construction, relocation, marketing, and communication skills.
